Our Blue Tit is Nesting

Today we have raised a smile at our amazing little Blue Tit who we have christened Nightingale in respect of our amazing NHS front line workers. We have discovered that she is nesting in one of our nest boxes here at Weston. She is sat on 8 eggs in her cosy little nest

These last few weeks during lock down have been a difficult time for us all and during our daily exercise we have been out walking in the fields and noticing how many wildflowers and how much nature is there before our eyes.  We need to appreciate the things that we wouldn’t normally notice, Nature at its best and new life appearing.  Bird song is getting louder each day and nature is just carrying on totally unaware of these troublesome times. Try and stay strong and positive  and support each other. Life is what you make it, take each day at a time and appreciate what we have around us.

We had a lovely walk in the sunshine on Sunday and spotted so many wildflowers, if you are struggling what to do with little ones, try i spy spotting new things on a nature walk to make collages with them, twigs, leaves,, grasses see what you can find,  so many pretty things, take photographs, makes pictures, paint flowers and make scrap books. We have a wonderful book that any child would adore to learn about nature too…… The Woodland Book.….  make learning fun and enjoyable, post us your pictures and collages on our facebook page or our instagram page we would love to see them

Take Care and keep safe and we are so looking forward to the day we can open our doors and welcome you all back to Hall Farm Wild Bird Supplies, Love From Maysie xx
